Music Video Script

I chose one of my favourite artists and watched the music video and listened to the lyrics to a certain song by them, from this song I planned my own music video using it. In my script I included the seconds, lyrics, what's going to happen in the music video, the camera shots, the narration and FX.

Treatment and proposal

I produced this to show what was going to happen in my music video that I am planning. Aswell as a detailed description I included other artists other than the one I was going to use. The artist's which I chosen where videos I had related mine to, also majority of them had the same genre in music. I also included who the crew are, what concerns I may have while producing it and if their was any rules I was going to apply and if so what are they.

Job Roles In A Music Video.(Revisited)

I researched certain job roles which are needed when someone is producing a music video or even a film. I included what there job is, what they need to do and a bit more information about the jobs.

Word Image Pieces (Revisited work- Task2)

Amy-Lee is the lead singer and song writer in Evanescence, there genre of music is soft rock. She is also a pianoist and plays the piano in a lot of her music videos unlike a lot of bands which have the same genre as them. They have produced some heavyish songs in the past but they mainly produce soft rock . I used this image to get a breif idea of her background and band. I used words that represents her as a person, her band and her type of music. For example: American, Tour, Band, Rock, Moody and Pianoist. Most of the words say what genre and type of music her and her band produce. Watching her music videos have helped me with some ideas in what to include in mine, with the genre i'm wanting to use being pretty much the same helped me a lot. Watching also helped me see what props and instruments I could use in my music video and I could make it different like Amy does when she plays the piano and not a heavy instrument like the drums or guitar like majority of bands in this day use.

I used this image because when I produce my own music video I want to do one like Falling in reverse's music videos and I want to use the same genre and dress sense which they have. Doing this has gave me a breif idea about the band and the lead singer. It has also gave me more ideas on what to include in my music video from the props which they have used in there past and present music videos. I used words about the band for example: American, Rock, Hardcore and ect... I also used words that described Ronnie himself for example: American, Vocalist, Guitarist and ect... Some of the words also say things about the other members in the band including there names. The words also include props in which they have used and certain instruments that the band play in live performances but also what instruments they can play which they don't use when performing infront of an audience.

 

I used Kellin Quinn because he makes the genre of music I am doing/using in my music video and I am also using one of his bands songs in my music video and I am relating my video to my his music videos and his band. He is a big influence. I used words that described him and his band. The image also includes all of the bands names and some of the lyrics to the songs he has sang and wrote; 'With ears you see, and eyes you hear' and 'If i'm James Dean you're Audry Hepburn'. Kellin Quinn is the vocalist in the band 'Sleeping With Sirnes'. he also plays piano and guitar.

I used a Sleeping with Sirens image because they also produce the same genre of music; Soft Rock. Kellin Quinn being lead singer and song writer. This helped me get a brief idea about the band and a better idea on the genre of music, I included words which mainly focused on the band than each band member individually. For example I included there band name, music genre they produce, where they are originally from and also some words which mainly concerntrate on the music industry for example Records, Signed, album and ect... I also used this band because I am going to use one of there songs/lyrics in my music video when I produce it and I am going to relate my music video to theirs in certain ways.

 I used an image of drums because every rock band has a drummer and the genre of music I am using is rock. Also in a rock performcance based music video you always at least once see the drummer playing the drums. In my word picture image I included words which describe drums and different types. I also included some famous dummers names for example; 'Louis Molo, Gene Crupa, John Bonman and a few others.' I am going to show the drummer and the drums in my performance based music video.

I used Ben Moody's guitar for an example because he was the first lead guitarist in Evanescence. He is now solo still playing guitar in other music videos for musicains such as; Avril Lavigne. I used this to get some more information about Evanescence and the rock music they produce, I also used words that described Ben Moody as a person and what sort of music he produces on his guitar. Every band has at least one maybe two guitarists, either electric or acoustic.I used a guitar because I am going to produce a performance rock music video and a guitar tends to be a propular prop when it is a rock music performance video.

 

Headphones are used as a prop in some music videos, the make of head phones which are normally used are 'beats' or 'Skull candies' so the heads phones which they use are promiting them and they tend to be pretty pricey head phones. They are used in a variety of rock music video aswell as a variety of other genres of music, and in two of the music videos which are a influence and have given me ideas. I have used words which describe headphones and different things they are called, also included some of the music vidoes/ artists who has used them in there music videos as props.

MoodBoards

I have produced a variety of moodboards mentioning what is important in a music video. I have included what the mood board is about, researched images and print screened images and why I have used those images, also why it is important in a music video.
